Open Water Diver - The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases: Knowledge Development (online, home study or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of scuba diving Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills Open Water Dives to review your skills and explore! If you’ve tried diving through a Discover Scuba Diving experience or resort course, the skills you learned may be credited towards a portion of the full PADI Open Water Diver course certification. - To enroll in the PADI Open Diver course or Junior Open Water Diver course, you must Gear You Will Need: For the Open Water Course, you will need to purchase your own Mask, Fins, Snorkel, Weight and a Weight Belt. Learning Materials You Need: PADI’s Open Water Diver materials cover what you need to know about basic scuba diving skills, terminology and safety procedures. For each concept you’ll read a description and watch a video demonstration. Then you’ll jump in the pool (or pool-like environment) to practice these skills with your instructor. Later, as a certified diver, use the course materials as a reference guide for future diving adventures and to review what you learned.
Advanced Open Water Diver Exploration, Excitement, Experiences. They’re what the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about. And no, you don’t have to be “advanced” to take it – it’s designed so you can go straight into it after the PADI Open Water Diver course. The Advanced Open Water Diver course helps you increase your confidence and build your scuba skills so you can become more comfortable in the water. This is a great way to get more dives under your belt while continuing to learn under the supervision of your PADI Instructor. This course builds on what you’ve learned and develops new capabilities by introducing you to new activities and new ways to have fun scuba diving. You’ll hone your skills by completing five adventure dives that introduce you to: - Underwater Navigation
- Deeper water diving (typically anywhere from 18-30 metres/ 60-100 feet)
- A sampler of three more Adventure Dives of your choice
The Fun Part: Your Choice One reason you’ll love the Advanced Open Water Diver course is that you and your instructor choose from 15 types of Adventure Dives to complete your course. You can try your hand at digital underwater photography, wreck diving, diving with underwater scooters, peak performance bouyancy and much more.
Rescue Diver Course “Challenging” and “rewarding” best describe the PADI Rescue Diver course. Building upon what you’ve already learned, this course expands on what you already know about how to prevent problems, and how to manage them if they occur. This course teaches you how to recognize, prevent, respond to, and treat dive related emergencies. This includes the use of throw bags, floatation devices and other surface rescue aids. You will learn to approach divers in distress, rescue panic divers, properly remove accident victims from the pool, shore, or boat and how to provide emergency care to protect patients from further harm while awaiting for EMS to arrive. The fun part about this course is rising to challenges and mastering them. Most divers find this course both demanding and rewarding, and at the end, say it’s the best course they’ve ever taken. The Learning Materials You Need: The PADI Rescue Diver crewpak includes all materials required to complete the PADI Rescue Diver course – including a pocket mask. You’ll learn how to think like a rescue diver and preview skills you’ll practice with your PADI Instructor. Once your Rescue Diver course is complete, you can review the DVD to refresh your dive safety skills as needed. This tool box of knowledge and technique will give you the expertise to handle almost any emergency situation.

- PADI Open Water Diver(or qualifying certification from another training organization)
- PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organization)
- PADI Rescue Diver or Junior Rescue Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organization)
- Minimum of five PADI Specialty Diver courses
- Minimum of 50 logged dives
Environmental Dives When first diving in our Northeast environment, we require that you participate in an Environmental Dive. You will be paired with one of our Divermasters or Instructors. This one time fee will ensure your comfort in our cooler waters and give you confidence diving off the coast of New Jersey. Environmental Dives are always available for a small additional fee if anyone is interested.
Quarry Dives Get certified in ONE weekend at Dutch Springs in Bethlehem, PA! There are lots of options to dive in their large quarry. Plus, when you're finished your Open Water you can immediately start your Advanced Open Water Certification. Call us for details about dates and pricing!  Want to do some training dives closer to home? Diving in the quarry in Seaville, NJ is available for some certification dives.
