FIRMWARE UPDATE RELEASE DETAILS For OC1 Watch Dive Computers from version 1A (or 1B) to 1C
EXPLANATION In response to input received from those who have now experienced ownership and use of the OC1, Oceanic has corrected or modified the following items to improve the OC1's operation:
*** Eliminated premature entry into Decompression mode upon descending on NORM Nitrox dives. This occurred when the dives were conducted after setting FO2 Gas 1 for Nitrox (a numerical value) followed by the M button being pressed to step back through the Plan Mode's Pre Dive Planning.
*** Corrected Temperature displays that appeared only as 0 degrees on the Dive and Log mode screens when the associated dive was activated by the wet contacts upon descent while in Watch mode. Temperature displayed as expected during other conditions.
*** Inserted the far left digit of the Watch Countdown Timer which remained blank with Hour Format set for 24 Hour.
*** Modified the Set Watch Daily Alarm and Countdown Timer, and Free Mode Countdown Timer, functions to make them to improve ease of access and saving of the selection.
UPDATE PROCESS Units affected are the OC1 model containing version 1A (or 1B) firmware. In the event that you have experienced any of the above, or you want to be sure they don't occur, you can upgrade your OC1's firmware (operating software program) to newly released revision 1C.02 using the Check for new Firmware Update feature of the latest OceanLog PC interface program (version 2.2.7). There is no need to return the unit to Oceanic.
